The amazing and the amusing things things that my kids teach me.
Having children has taught me that I can survive without sleep, a functioning brain, and sex.
My son has taught me how to have patience because he has shown me what frustration looks like
A mom doesn’t stand a chance of winning the race when her two-year-old is running from her in the house. Kids are always quicker. What you have to do is stop, look at her, and wait for her to come to you.
I’ve learned that silence usually means a massive mess.
In toddler world, ‘yes’ and ‘no’ mean basically the same thing
When you’re grouchy, jumping on the bed really will make you feel better.
Once you say something, you can never really take it back. And you should never say something that you wouldn’t want repeated — even months later.
I completely understand what you mean about “You can never win a race against a 2 year old.” I’ve been trying to do that since my son started walking, but I’ve not won one yet lol. And yes, when you say something, you can’t take it back. I know that all too well!
I don’t know how mothers can go without sleep. I don’t know how I’m going to handle it. I already knew about the silence one because my mom told me about that when we were kids. The one about saying things you don’t want repeated I think is the most important one. They remember everything you don’t want them to remember and they will repeat it at the worst of times.
My mom would probably agree on most of those. And I agree too. I have two younger cousins who have taught me patience, they drive me insane though. haha. And I do believe that kids can teach you a whole lot of things about yourself that you didn’t know before.
And this layout is adorable. Forever Friends FTW! :p
I loved this post! It made so much sense and was very sweet. I think my favorite was “Once you say something, you can never really take it back. And you should never say something that you wouldn’t want repeated — even months later.” I’m going to have to remember that one.

Aww that’s so sweet. I would love to have what you have (kids) (but I’m only 19 so not yet :P)
Jumping on the bed always helps things.
